This season, the CCSA boys’ basketball team is paying special tribute to their former teammate and friend, Ny’Ques Farlow-Davis, by featuring a patch with Ny’Ques’ initials, “NFD”, on the left chest of their uniform – right above the heart.

Ny’Ques was widely known for his superior athletic skills in both basketball and football.  In addition to the accolades on the court and field, Ny'Ques excelled academically and was highlighted in several events for his poetry. His friends describe him as kind, charismatic, and exceptional. Those who knew him say he was just getting started and had the potential to represent Chester on a bigger stage when he graduated.

Born and raised in Chester, Ny'Ques was raised under the loving care of his grandparents, Kyle and Rosalyn Davis, who he called mom and dad. Ny’ques, who would’ve been in 9th grade this year, was taken from us far too soon, in the spring of 2020.

Chester Charter Scholars Academy has established an athletic award to be presented annually in honor of Ny’Ques Farlow-Davis.
