Like many schools throughout the country and specifically in Delaware Country, CCSA has been drastically impacted by the pandemic with the adjustment to virtual learning. Collaboration with our families, partners and our staff played a key role in helping deliver a consistent and engaging curriculum online throughout the school year. Consistency, safety and academic and social development have been at the forefront of all of our planning to address the needs of our students.
After careful deliberation, we have been able to safely welcome students back into our building for consistent 5 day a week in-person instruction. Families that opted to continue with online education are still afforded the opportunity to remain in that setting. All students will remain with the teacher they have been working with throughout the year to ensure relationships that have been established up to this point remain in place.
To ensure the safety of students and staff, CCSA has implemented a robust testing program in partnership with CHOP, and the building has been outfitted with equipment to ensure a safe overall environment. Students and staff will have access to PPE supplies at all times to ensure everyone is able to engage with each other in a safe and productive setting.
This is an exciting time for our family, but one which requires vigilance and focus to ensure our school community remains safe.
