The class of 2023 crossed the graduation stage on Wednesday, June 14, at Swarthmore College’s Lang Performing Arts Center. We are thrilled to report that all 52 students in the senior class completed the rigorous requirements for graduation.
In her graduation remarks, Akosua Watts, the Joan K. Richards Head of School/CEO, shared that 38 of the 52 graduates have been part of our school community since it was founded in 2012.
The day before graduation, everyone from our kindergartners to 11th graders lined the halls for CCSA’s first-ever senior “clap out.” The soon-to-be-grads walked to each floor, donning their graduation caps and stoles, surrounded by the applause and cheers of their schoolmates, teachers, and friends. It was an emotional experience for all involved, with smiles and pride-filled tears in abundance.
In total, the class of 2023 was accepted into an impressive 98 different colleges & universities across the country! Of those 98 options, the students committed to 18 post-secondary schools, with 4 choosing to stay local at Widener University.
