Beneficiary Gifts

These gifts cost you nothing during your lifetime, yet give you the satisfaction of knowing you have provided for CCSA in the future. Gifts of any size further our mission to provide our students with a quality education tomorrow and beyond.

Life Income Gifts

Make a Gift That Pays You Income for Life

Charitable Gift Annuities allow you to support CCSA Foundation and feel confident that you have dependable income in your retirement years.

This type of donation can provide you with regular payments and allow us to further our work. You can also qualify for a variety of tax benefits, including a federal income tax charitable deduction when you itemize.

Life income gifts offer several potential benefits, including (but not limited to):

Avoidance of capital gains taxes

Retirement Assets

Designate Your Assets for CCSA Foundation's Future

For many people, a retirement account like an IRA or 401(k) may be the most significant source of assets accumulated in their lifetime. Others may find that they do not need all the funds in their retirement accounts. Donating your retirement assets to CCSA Foundation can have significant tax advantages, and in certain situations, may mean more funds for CCSA and your heirs alike.

To name CCSA Foundation as a beneficiary of your retirement plan, simply fill out a Change of Beneficiary Form available from your plan or policy provider. You can also name CCSA Foundation as a percentage beneficiary with your spouse.

Donating During Your Lifetime: IRA Charitable Rollover

The IRA Charitable Rollover provides an excellent opportunity to make a gift during your lifetime from an asset that would be subject to multiple levels of taxation if it remained in your taxable estate.

To qualify, you must be age 70 1⁄2 or older at the time of gift, and transfers must be made directly from you IRA account to CCSA Foundation. By making a gift from your IRA, you can satisfy your annual required minimum distribution – up to $100,000 - without reporting additional taxable income.

Named in memory of CCSA’s dear friends, Peggy and Pete, the Thompson Society recognizes and thanks donors who have provided for the school’s future through a planned gift.

Peggy and Pete Thompson pioneered early literacy volunteer programming at CCSA and saw the great promise and worth in Chester’s children. Together they devoted their time, talents, energy and love to helping our students see in themselves the magnificence and greatness they could see.

Recognition

Members are celebrated on a donor wall prominently displayed in CCSA’s main foyer, listed in our Annual Donor Report, and invited to special events throughout the year.
